The Hakol Mehalev center supports and brings joy to patients, soldiers and victims of terror

“All from the heart” helps patients regardless of religion, race and gender and from all stratum of Israeli society. The emphasis is social, educational and psychological, with the aim of preserving the morale of the children by helping them cope with the difficult challenges of coping with their illness. We facilitate and accompany the family from the day they are notified of the illness through activities in hospitals and in family homes. The “Hakol Mehalev” volunteers work all year through and around the clock in the pediatric and adult departments of selected hospitals throughout

Activities in hospitals and family homes:

the association’s activities are very varied. From coaches who come specially to perform in front of hospitalized patients, at parties in the rehabilitation departments, or fun days and a summer camp to give patients and their families some respite.

The organization runs with the help of volunteers every day throughout the entire year, around the clock in pediatric and adult departments in hospitals throughout the country, in order to help as many people as possible cope with the disease.

Support for the family

Beyond the sick child, the family who received the news about the disease also needs support. This is not a simple matter. To drive the child from one test to another, to stay overnight in the hospital, to take care of the child and deal with crisis that arise.

In our opinion a strengthened family that receives support is an important factor in strengthening the child and his ability to heal. Therefore, we do everything necessary to help the family by:

Accompanying the parents throughout the process
Mentoring the child's siblings
Support groups for parents under the supervision and accompaniment of a social worker
Support groups for siblings
Birthdays for the sick child's siblings
Organizing fun days dinners in restaurants and more .. for moments of fun and rest for parents
Organizing fun days for siblings
An array of volunteers in the patients' homes to support and help with whatever the family needs

Distribution of food baskets and shopping coupons

Most parents of children with cancer experience a situation where expenses become astronomical and every shekel counts. In addition to the constant anxiety about the child’s condition, the economic difficulty that results from the illness is added to the picture and often one of the parents must stop working to stay at the child’s bedside.

That’s why we provide financial support, food baskets, shopping vouchers, readymade food and more. All so that the family can be less stressed about this stressful financial period.
